As the year comes to an end it is time to start finishing up footing and glazing, finish our final essays and prepare for presentations, as well as clean clean clean!!!! We are all starting to get a little anxious for summer and cleaning is probably the last thing we all want to do but it's gotta get done........ We're almost done which means that we've gotta work hard and push all the way until the end... We can do it!!!

This is the last week for everyone to use wet clay.... Wow this semester has gone by so fast. All of my projects are done and now in preparing for my presentation that is on June 4th. I've got to start working on my rough draft and then my final essay. Time to finish up....... Almost summer!!!!!!!

The year is coming to an end and I am sad to know that I'm almost done in ceramics. I guess that I've really got to live it up and finish as much as I can these next few weeks. I'm gonna miss ceramics and all of the good memories but for now I'm going to concentrate in finishing up my teapot which comes out of the bisque today!!!!!!

I'm so excited this week to be working on my tea pot!! It looks super cute and it should be done just in time for Mother's Day!!

This week I have been really concentrating on glazing all of my projects. Over the last couple of weeks my projects have been piling up in my locker so I've taken the time to finish glazing them all. So far I have already brought two of my projects home and after three more of my projects go in the glaze kiln tonight I plan on bringing all of them home tomorrow. Tomorrow I plan on concentrating on updating my blog with all of those projects and Friday I won't be here so it's been a pretty calm week in ceramics.

I've continued my hard work in ceramics this week by making a lidded project, a vase, a smaller bowl and I am also working in completing the bowl which is pictured here. I am still thinking about my theme but I am working towards the idea of accented colors!!

Now that the third quarter is coming to an end, I have finished the majority of my projects. It is time to really start thinking about my theme and how I want to promote my artistic ideas. After Spring Break Mount Si will be hosting an art show that I am entering a few of my projects into!! Next week I plan on finishing up my giant mug that I started last week and can't wait to see how it turns out.

I finally finished my set of three.. They look great!!! I began my wheel altered project and plan on footing and adding a handle to it tomorrow. Hopefully i will be able to create a usable pitcher. Ceramics so far this week has been a success!!

My set of three is finally complete, all I have left to do is glaze. I think for the glazing I am going to pick two colors (probably clear and yellow) and dip the three different projects to create three different designs. The set of three has the basis of the same shape but the are of different sizes. After they are finished I am thinking about using them as either pots for plants or give them away as to whom I desire.
