This week I concentrated on my up coming project of a set of three. I finished two out of the three and I'm contemplating on what direction I want to go with the overall project. I will probably decide over the weekend and come back next week to finish it all up. After my set of three is finished it will be time to work on my wheel altered project... Gonna need some more inspiration.

After break we discovered that the bisque kiln had a few technical difficulties during break so for the last few days I had been praying that my tall project would successfully make it out alive. I was happy to discover today that it did in fact make it out with only some minor discoloring. I plan on glazing that tomorrow. As for today, I completeda plate which is a lot harder to make than I had originally thought. Im going to cross my fingers that tomorrow footing my plate will go a little smoother.

After throwing and footing my mug this week ive decided to make the outside texture a little more interesting. Although it is a work in progress, this is a picture of the swirly designs I have begun to carve into my tall project vase.

I successfully completed three bowls today without a single mistake or "mess-up". So happy to go into class everyday and know that I am doing something that I love for a good cause! Yay ceramics!!

Bowl 1 out of 2 for the day ready to go in to the bisque. Since it will be in there for two days I wont see this masterpiece until next week but as for the the next two days of class, I plan on making a few more bowls before moving on to our tall projects next week!

Today the advanced students got to return to the wheel!! Although it was a little rough at first we eventually got the hang of it again and I completed two bowls. Tomorrow i will foot the bowls and wait for them to be completed so I can donate them to charity. So excited to make art for a good cause!!

Today was the first day of advanced ceramics!! I can't wait to start using wet clay tomorrow and get this semester started!
