This is a mug that is 4x3. It has a smooth texture and is glazed completely in clear with red and blue tribal patterns around the outside. For this project I worked on creating a prrfectly sized handle in relation to the size of the mug. The tribal print on the outside of the mug creates a rythm around the cup making it a more interesting piece.

This is a tall project that is 3x6. Overall it has a smooth texture but is slightly bumpy around the carved design. It is glazed in cobalt blue on the inside and inside of the swirl pattern with clear glaze on the entire outside. One new technique I used while making this project was choking in order to make the project a lot taller than it is wide. The swirl pattern on the outside of the vase creates a pattern that is enjoyable to look at and interesting to the eye.

This is a bowl that is 5x6that has a bumpy texture because of the dripping glaze effect. The bowl is glazed in clear with black glaze dripping down on the inside and ouside. My main concentration for this roject was creating a good sized bowl that is practical for use by using more clay than I have in the past. The black dripping glaze on top of the simple clear glaze creates a contrat which creates interest and intrigues an onlooker to buy the bowl which further supports the charity it is for.

This is a bowl that is 4x4 also with a smoot texture. It is also glazed in one color which, in this case, is black. The new technique I worked on for this project was creating a deeper bowl, by pulling the edges up further, so that it is more useful for eating. Although this bowl is smaller in size, the black glaze creates an illusion efect by making it look larger.

This is a bowl that is 3x4 with a smooth texture. This bowl is glazed entirely in a light blue color. On this project, I worked alot on the foot of the bowl. To do this I learned to take my time in order to perfect it. The soft blue color of the glaze gives the bowl an appealing color to eat out of.

This is a bowl that is 5x5 with a smooth texture. The bowl is completely glazed in blue. For this bowl I concentrated on making the walls thinner than the walls on my other projects from the past. The simple structure of the bowl combined with the simple glaze creates an overall harmonic project.

The simple clear glazed color makes the print on the inside is the focal point of the whole project which creates a feeling of interest towards the inside rather than the outside of the bowl.
